Making minor repairs on rustic furniture is very simple and fast. The following are step by step instructions for making repairs from minor cracks to cracks and gouges up to 3/8" thickness. These instructions are also based on the assumption that the surface sealer is wax based. A "wax" surface coating allows for isolated repairs which do not require the entire area be stripped or sanded. Wax coating is the primary coating used in most "rustic" furniture applications.
